Akshata Murty, a significant shareholder in Infosys (NS:INFY), is poised for a substantial wealth increase as the company announced an Rs 18 ($1 = Rs 83.2) interim dividend per share for Q2 FY23-24. This declaration is set to augment her wealth by Rs 138 crore (Rs 1 crore = $120,127), given her holding of 3,89,57,096 shares in the company.

This isn’t the first time Murty’s net worth has seen a surge due to Infosys’ dividends. In June, a similar payout resulted in a Rs 68 crore increase in her net worth. The total value of her stake in Infosys now stands at Rs 70.12 crore.

Infosys’ financial performance has been strong, with the company reporting higher than expected US Dollar revenue for Q3 2023. The company’s revenue reached $4.71 billion, surpassing the CNBC-TV18 poll forecast of $4.65 billion and marking a 2.2% quarter-on-quarter growth.

The company’s EBIT margin also exceeded estimates, coming in at 21.2% against the predicted 21%. This robust financial performance underscores the company’s growth and could potentially further enhance shareholder returns in the future.
