Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.00%

Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.00%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which rose 3.28% or 15.20 points to trade at 479.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) added 2.93% or 8.90 points to end at 312.80 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 2.34% or 15.90 points to 694.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which fell 0.97% or 1.45 points to trade at 148.10 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 0.18% or 0.50 points to end at 275.30 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 0.20% or 20.00 points to 10,210.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 53 and 18 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.92% or 2.13 to $75.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.05% or 2.36 to hit $79.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.95 to trade at $1,984.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.28% to 6.85, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 103.96.
