Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.32%

Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.32%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which rose 2.38% or 24.50 points to trade at 1,055.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 1.60% or 170.00 points to end at 10,780.00 and Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) was up 1.21% or 3.90 points to 326.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 2.79% or 8.10 points to trade at 282.30 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 2.40% or 19.40 points to end at 788.60 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was down 1.61% or 2.60 points to 158.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 69 to 67 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.57% or 0.43 to $76.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.46% or 0.37 to hit $81.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 20.70 to trade at $2,058.80 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.19% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 103.29.
