Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.67%

Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.67% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 1.88% or 195.00 points to trade at 10,560.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 1.55% or 160.00 points to end at 10,450.00 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was up 1.04% or 4.90 points to 477.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 2.75% or 8.60 points to trade at 304.00 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) declined 0.93% or 3.40 points to end at 363.30 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was down 0.68% or 3.80 points to 554.40.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 61 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.21% or 0.16 to $76.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.79% or 0.64 to hit $82.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 8.15 to trade at $2,000.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.28% to 6.82, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 103.33.
